The firmware downgrade operation of a panel consists in the installation of a firmware version that is older than the firmware version installed on the operator panel at production time (version reported on the panel informations sticker).
This operation even if, in some cases, possible, is not suggested. The reason for this is that Exor International is continuosly working on the development of its products, this means that, without advice, a new hardware release for the same product can be introduced in production and such hardware changes can be not compatible with firmware versions released before the new hardware was introduced. A firmware downgrade can lead to an unexpected and faulty behaviour of the panel, but in some cases can also causate a system failure that requires the panel to be returned for reparation.
For this reason Exor does not guarantee the correct functionality of a panel in case a firmware downgrade is performed.
Please note that, the return for reparation of an operator panel caused by a downgrade of the firmware can be considered as an out of warranty intervention so, if, for any reason, you wish to downgrade the firmware of an operator panel, we strongly suggest to previously contact our technical support department at techsupp@exorint.it to make sure the operation is possible without harming the operator panel operability.
