What to know
In JMobile Studio you can define:
- up to 4 communication protocols for eTOP Series HMI,
- up to 2 communication protocols for eSMART Seris HMI.
This FAQ should help you to properly define communication protocols for your project configuration.
PLC Network
If the HMI needs to be connected to more than one PLC using the same communication protocol,
inside the protocol configuration is available the PLC Network checkbox.
In this way you will be able to define more than one slave:
Multiple instances of same protocol
Using PLC Network configuration, in case of serial communication all slaves must use same serial parameters.
If there is needs to communicate with same protocol but using two different serial ports with different communication parameteres
is possible to add the same protocol more than one time (Multiple instances).
