SPS 2024: A SUCCESSFUL EDITION FOR INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION

A Stage for Innovation
The doors have just closed on SPS - Smart Production Solutions 2024. The 338th edition of the fair dedicated to intelligent and digital automation impressed attendees with the latest innovations in products and services for industrial production. From informative discussions with exhibitors to round tables, product presentations, and special showcases, visitors from around the globe seized the opportunity to explore the latest industry trends and plan their path for the 2025 financial year. In the 16 exhibition halls, covering a total area of 125,000 square meters, visitors to SPS 2024 discovered a wide range of innovative products. With 1,114 exhibitors and approximately 51,300 visitors, this year's edition was a success. "Considering the current challenging economic situation for the industrial sector, this increase in visitor numbers compared to the previous year is a strong and important signal for the automation sector," stated Martin Roschkowski, President of Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH. Steffen Winkler, CSO of the Automation Business Unit at Bosch Rexroth AG and Chairman of the SPS Exhibitors' Advisory Board, commented: "SPS is the flagship event for the automation sector. Here, visitors can discover the latest technologies and meet industry experts, establishing valuable contacts and strengthening existing relationships. Even in difficult economic times, SPS remains a fundamental platform for innovation and dialogue. Together, we are shaping the future."
Italian Participation
Italy had a strong presence at SPS 2024, ranking among the top three foreign countries represented with over 70 companies. Notable Italian exhibitors included Bonfiglioli, Pizzato Elettrica, Exor International, Seneca, and other key players in the automation field. The Italian participation demonstrated the strategic importance of the fair as a platform for the European market. Italian companies used this opportunity not only to showcase their innovative solutions but also to stay updated on the latest industry trends. The fair provided an ideal space to exchange ideas with international experts and deepen their knowledge of emerging technologies. Additionally, the "Automation meets IT" pavilion offered Italian visitors the chance to explore IT solutions integrated into production, an increasingly crucial aspect in the era of industrial digitalization.
